Hives for Humanity and Gallery Gachet collaborate once again to create meaningful opportunities for connection to nature and to art: to support community members in finding self-expression and ways to thrive. The Hives for Humanity team prepared beekeeping equipment for artists from throughout Gallery Gachet’s networks. Each artist designed a unique hive set along themes of connection to nature, gardens, life, and land. This is a Hives for Humanity fundraiser designed to build bridges among the beekeeping community, gardeners, and artists. This year’s collaboration follows 2019’s Hastings Folk Garden Mural created by nine artists in relation to the DTES neighbourhood.

This project is associated programming for Fear and Care for the Fate of the World, a Gallery Gachet exhibition of time-based works held at the Hives for Humanity Pollinator Meadow and Therapeutic Apiary at 566 Richards Street throughout December. Stay tuned for details.
