Facilitator: Jessica Joan Delorme, local artist (painter) and curator.

Participants will be encouraged to maintain a visual journal throughout the duration of the workshop. Each week they will arrive at Gallery Gachet to find a new material or process available. Through interpreting a daily reflection or memory from their book and the materials provided, each participant is encouraged to translate an intuitive piece or pieces. Examples of possible material themes are collage, eraser drawings into charcoal, and tempera studies exploring color potential. In the last few sessions the artists will be asked to collaborate multiple methods. Each student will develop a dialogue to describe their work as each will be encouraged to talk about their results. The instructor will also provide a rich still-life, which may further signify to participants a memory or reflection of their experience. This will also ensure that any first time drop-ins can find inspiration in the materials.
