lee is (but not limited to): writer. artist. performer. workshop facilitator. communicator. community organizer. survivor. crazy. gender variant. queer. poc. visitor on unceded Coast Salish Territories. Having struggled with diagnoses and various labels that pathologize sensitivity, emotions, and reactions to trauma and abuse, lee now fully embraces their ‘craziness’ – holding the belief that madness is a highly adjusted response to living in a mad world. lee comes to gachet with experience in artist-run centres, community organizing, interdisciplinary arts and literary creation/exhibition/facilitation, and a genuine conviction that art truly is a means of survival. Besides gachet, places where lee may be found include Reel Youth, The Purple Thistle, Urban Ink, QTIPOCALYPSE, YWCA and Radical Mental Health and Addictions groups.
