Heather Pelles

Heather Pelles is a transwoman living on unceded coast salish territories (east van).
She is a writer/artist/musician who takes an experimental approach, often based on chance, to her work. She tries to create work which is a source of new experience rather than a vehicle for experiences drawn from the real world or her imagination. She has an abiding belief that art which rejects conventional forms and processes implies a rejection of conventional society.
Most recently she has been creating webcomics (http://bracelets.thecomicstrip.org/) (http://cardiac.thecomicstrip.org/) in addition to poetry (http://rustedflats.blogspot.com/).
