Sharon Burns

Sharon Burns is inspired by unexpected urban beauty and the spontaneity of found art, creating a very different picture of ordinary objects and shrines with her camera. She has participated in numerous group shows at Gachet and Exposure Gallery. Her work has also been included in exhibits at the Vancouver Art Gallery, JEM and Iron Works Gallery. In December 2009, Interurban Gallery presented a solo exhibition of her work “The Ephemeral Outside”. This exhibition travelled to Studio B in Grand Forks, BC for July 2010. Burns’ fascination with photography and video is informed by travel, and led her to work in the local film industry, at CBC TV, and most recently as part of Fearless TV.
